Major Research Interests

· Nonverbal emotion communication in normal and atypically developing populations

· Association between the social function of an emotion and the means through which it is most                         effectively communicated

· Deficits in emotion production and identification in individuals with autism

· Neural mechanisms underlying cognitive processes involving affective displays

Duties include theoretical development, project design, computer programming (Eprime), data collection, data entry, data analysis, and undergraduate student training and supervision for a multi-part project examining emotion production and identification
